Liz Eaton FBHS, chats with bridle and bit fitting specialist Sue Stanbridge, about the obvious and the subtle signs that your horse’s head gear might not fit as well as you may think, and in fact, may be restricting impulsion and movement, causing pain and possibly long-lasting issues.
Sue draws on her extensive experience of fitting bridles and bits to all types of horse and ponies from happy hackers to medal winning athletes in all disciplines. She discusses some of the findings revealed during the whole horse dissections she has attended, relating them to the impact of different bridles, bits and nosebands on the whole living horse.
